PrusaSlicer monitoring printer

Is there a way PrusaSlicer could be used to monitor the printing proces? As in display nozzle position, layer number and outline etc all in real-time?
I know that it would mean that the PrusaSlicer-computer would have to be attached to the printer. But that is why I am asking.

Just a wish. I like how PrusaSlicer shows all the steps of the layers and nozzle position: it would be nice for it to show that real-time.

Thanks

Tee

The closest you get is using something like Prusalink or Octoprint. I doubt there's appetite for what you're describing given Prusa's investment into Prusalink and PrusaConnect. Personally, I'd rather they focus on fixing bugs, not adding stuff that is not core slicer.

Prusa developers rarely view these forums so your  best bet is to go to the github and make a feature request, here:

https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues

Click on the green New Issue button on the right and follow the instructions (you'll need to create an account first).
