RE: Tooling "Wish List"
There have been several Open Source projects based on Arduinos and HP C6602 inkjet cartridge's as printers.. Might not be a huge leap to adapt them to a tool head.
RE: Tooling "Wish List"
InkJet cartridges are a scam, they dry out fast so it's not worth the money.
RE: Tooling "Wish List"
True, but an open source implementation like the ones that people have done with these cartridges (that have a built in "print head") are DRM free because it's the printer not the Cartridge that implements the restrictions. So they are easily refillable until the cartridge is actually dead.
RE: Tooling "Wish List"
I’d rather see laser marking than an inkjet printer
RE: Tooling "Wish List"
Continuous fiber is the latest buzzword, but I think the XL could be the perfect platform to explore ways to implement this exciting technique. I wonder it it’s possible to preheat the fiber so that the tool can press the fiber into the previously laid down layer without necessarily laying down a new bead of plastic. Not as fast perhaps, but hopefully not as messy or complicated as using a compound head. Any thoughts?
