Core One screen flickering / black screen
Hi there,
I have had my Core One for exactly one week now, and since a few days ago the screen started behaving weird: The screen partially turns black/white, shows the image mirrored, or - most of the time - is completely black.
I already contacted support about this, but I was wondering if anyone else experiences the same issue?
RE: Core One screen flickering / black screen
I assume you've checked to make sure the cable and ground are not loose?

I've checked and cleaned both cable and ground with compressed air, but the issue still persists 🙁

Did you check both ends of the cables? The other ends are inside the xBuddy box. At least two other people here have reported similar symptoms that were resolved by reseating the orange plugs on the ribbon cable. Do this with the power turned OFF, of course, and be careful with the alignment.

Anch'io ho lo stesso problema, la stampante funziona bene ma il display no.
I'll try to check the cables again

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I disconnected and reconnected both ends of the display ribbon cable, checked the ground wire connection. After restarting, it blinks again. Finally, I disconnected the supplied flash and the problem is gone. I am now using my new flash and it works without any problems. I recommend trying it and let me know the result.

orange plugs on the ribbon cable
What orange plugs do you mean exatly? I tried reseating the red plugs from the ribbon cables on the xBuddy board aswell as on the LCD board. I also changed the flash drive.
Reflashing the firmware and resetting the printer helped for two days, then the issue came back.
Unfortunately I bought the printer not directly from Prusa, but through a reseller. The reseller is taking forever in replying and sending me replacement parts, and Prusa won't do anything, because I haven't bought it through their shop. I'm desperate in solving this issue, I really want my printer to work 🙁
If anyone has any idea what to try aswell, please let me know!

I have a similar problem.
RE: Core One screen flickering / black screen
Made an account to post what worked for me - found it here https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/738415/ for the mk4s that also worked for the Core One
Going into settings>hardware>screen refresh rate and setting it to low has done the trick. No more flickering!
It took a bit to go through the menus with the screen going black, but moving the selection slowly, and just waiting for the screen to eventually load when it did go dark got me there in the end.
Hope this helps!

Mine goes completely blank after startup, like your video after you've scrolled the menu a bit but without flashing.
RE: Core One screen flickering / black screen
Your screen was flickering, was it ever completely black/blank?

RE: Core One screen flickering / black screen
It was the same in the video. The screen did go black on occasion. It stayed black at times seemingly if the screen tried to display certain menus.
Navigating the menus/scrolling up and down with the black screen usually eventually led the screen to flicker back on just long enough to see where to go next. Without a USB and from memory it was 3 clockwise turns before you hit the settings menu, which may give your screen a chance to reload? Other times i'd just leave it for 5 minutes and eventually it'll load, but once you load anything else on the screen it was back to flickering.
