How to increase printer software limits Chamber Max Temp
I have this chamber heater I made and the goal is to get to 65C chambe temperature. However, when ever the chamber themistory reaches 60C the printer puts up this message about excessive temperatures and turns on the chamber fans until it drops to 55C.
I suspect the printer would be completley fine at 65C, so for that reason I don't want this feature to activate until 70C. How would I even go about changing this? I don't see anything in printer settings, so I am assuming it would have to be deeper than that. I thought I would ask because atp I have no idea.

Your options are to downgrade to 6.4.0 or patch the 6.5.3 firmware to raise the maximum temperatures. 6.5.3 lowered the max chamber temperatures by 10°
RE: How to increase printer software limits Chamber Max Temp
OP, did you ever end up downgrading or editing the firmware?
This new 55c hard limit is rubbish and is causing print failures when using engineering materials (as per early Prusa advertising and influencer posts)
RE: How to increase printer software limits Chamber Max Temp
I ended up just downgrading it as I felt there werent really any new major features I was missing out out on.
RE: How to increase printer software limits Chamber Max Temp
What irks me is Prusa didn't bother to put this in the 6.5.3 release notes until I called them out on it. So it was either an after-thought or they were silently trying to sneak it past us.
RE: How to increase printer software limits Chamber Max Temp
Thank you both,
I have “downgraded” to 6.4.0 for now as the 55c limit is shameful.
I read a post on reddit recently where a user asks why this change was made, and Tommy from Prusa replied and said that
- core one and core one L have identical electronics
- core one L has a higher chamber temperature max threshold as “there is greater air volume in the core one L” and that the lower air volume in the core one increases risk of damage to the components.
Having built a couple dozen printers over the years, I can’t help but think this reason is nonsensical. It seems they more want to upsell the more expensive core one L by artificially limiting the abilities of the regular core one.
