MK4 to Core One Conversion

I have looked on this forum about it, but did not find any relevant information.

I currently have a MK4.

I made an order beginning of April for the MK4 to MK4S upgrade, together with the MK4S to Core One conversion kit.

I have been looking into the assembly manual, and I think the MK4 to MK4S upgrade is not really neccessary. Can somebody of you check if my logic is correct:

Upgrade to MK4S => 109€

Print Fan Blower => 11.89€
Wi-Fi adapter => 9.95€
NFC set => 5.99€
Idler Lever A => 3.99€
Idler Lever B => 3.99€
Idler Nut => 3.99€
2x Idler Swivel => 7.98€

This makes a total of 47,78€, or a difference of 61.22€ with the MK4 to MK4S upgrade.

The CHT nozzle is not really needed, as I had also included the Obxidian CHT nozzle. And the socks I had ordered together with my MK4.

This price difference is already more than the Buddy3D camera.

Am I missing something in my list above, any thoughts are more than welcome.

RE: MK4 to Core One Conversion

You're right, that's exactly what I did.

For MMU3 - since the Nextruder is already modified for the MMU3, the idler and swivel parts are no longer needed.

Thx for your answer.

I have no MMU3 yet, so I stay at my original plan concerning that...

You can save even more if you have someone who can print the idler and swivel parts for you using PC-CF.

Wi-Fi and NFC should be optional extras.

The blower fan is the top priority.

I still have my MK4, so I am able to print it myself, but have never had the need to print PC-CF. I don't know if the sample (25gr) is enough to print the parts myself. Buying a complete roll of it, is just not worth it.

I will buy the Wifi and NFC, just to have it available when needed.

I just checked in prusaslicer, and 25 gram should be enought to print the parts. So there I can save some money indeed!

RE:

The current Core One conversion kit assembly manual doesn’t mention reusing the NFC set from the MK4S.

I saw that too, but don't want to risk it to need to pay shipping costs twice.

I can of course wait a bit as my conversion kit will not be shipped before half of July.

I just want to be prepared...

I'm replacing the bearings, trapezoidal nuts and the power supply wires.  The first 2 are simple wear parts of low cost.  The 3rd, I don't like the wires being zip tied like they are for the conversion version.  I'll let you know if the NFC kit is in the box.

According to the manual, you get a new one.

RE:

To be clear, we must first upgrade from an MK4 to MK4S before upgrading to score printer? Why not a direct upgrade option?
