XL: removing filament

That massively long filament path is a real pain.  It can take me ten minutes to get a filament pushed through.  The existing filament often comes out in short segments, so I'm pushing all that filament from a new filament spool.

You need a tool to push the filament out.

Dry your filament before use, unload it immediately afterwards.

That was ok when I had one filament.  It is extremely annoying when I have five, I have not found a filament dryer box that worked, if at all, for more than a few weeks according to the reviews.

If you intend to use 5 filaments you must expect to do five times as much drying ...

I have never owned a 'filament dryer box.'  I have always used a lightly modified, cheap, food dehydrator; print a couple of extensions and you can dry as many spools at once as you need.

If your filament comes out in pieces, there's something seriously wrong. I've only seen this happen for me with brass filament, which is super brittle.

Dry boxes: My PrintDry Pro3 boxes work like a charm, they're almost two years old, I believe.
