Live Z - First layer CAL, cannot go Postivie ?
Hi ALL
My printer went stupid so I've reset the calibrations (XYZ) and used the wizard again.. The Z is too high and I want to change the live Z to get closer. I can rotate the wheel to get a - (minus number) however I cannot go past 00:00 and get a positive number (to get closer). This must have changed in a firmware release ? I need to get the nozzle closer using Live Z, any idea ?
Thankyou
RE: Live Z - First layer CAL, cannot go Postivie ?
negative means closer. 00.00 is "all the way up". Normal range is -1.00 to -1.8 if you installed your PINDA according to the instructions.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!

Just chatting to support and they said the same thing, oops 🙂 I swear the older firmware had it the other way around !!! Anyway, all good... thankyou !!!
RE:
You'll need to move the PINDA lower
The Super PINDA should have about 1.5 mm distance between nozzle and sensor, so that you’re around -1 when your Live Z is correct. That gives you enough wiggle room up and down.
Instructions for adjusting the PINDA are in:
Mini: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/how-to-replace-superpinda-mini-mini_179912
Mk3S: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/how-to-replace-superpinda-mk3s-mk3s_179920
I put this little helper on Printables to help position the PINDA: https://www.printables.com/model/57192
Works better than zip ties or credit cards, which have less well-defined heights.
