What does "filaments marked with a * are NOT compatible with some installed printers mean?

I went to see if there was a profile for the filamentum flex 98. I went through the configuration wizard, chose my MK3S+.

Next, next, Filament Profiles Selection. I choose Filamentum, and I see that Filamentum Flexfill 98A has a * next to it, so...not compatible.

But I have printed with this filament before: I just didn't use that profile, because I didn't know it existed! (I just picked a random flex profile). So why is the "correct" profile not compatible, and in what way? Should I just keep using a "generic" profile?

It means that those filaments are not compatible with some of the printers you have in the list on the left. Without trying it I’d say that the ones it won’t show up in would be the smaller nozzle printers in your list. If installed I bet they would be available for the basic mk3 with 0.4 nozzle.

Basically in Prusa’s estimation some won’t be reliable with some printer setups. Once you have them added to a basic mk3 you can always detach from system and remove the restrictions and save it as a copy that will be available to any printer. That’s up to you , as any problems will also be up to you once you do that.
