Overture PLA Professional settings?

Has anyone used Overture PLA Professional? Is there a good preset?

If not, they recommend:

  • Recommended Extrusion/Nozzle Temp:  190 °C - 220°C (374℉~ 428℉ ),
  • Heated Bed Temp:  40°C - 60 °C (104℉~ 140℉)
  • Printing Speed:40~70 mm/s

On the "Filament Settings" tab, I can set nozzle & bed temps, and apparently use a different value for the first layer.

On the "Print Settings" tab, under Speed, there's an overwhelming number of speeds, from 25mm/sec to 200 mm/sec.

What's the best way forward?

I have not used the 'Pro' version, but most of the parameters seem like right in the ballpark for generic PLA.

The generic PLA infill speed is 80, and you might bump that down to 70 to be strictly within specs.

You can also try one of those 'temperature tower' prints to get an idea what nozzle temperature works best with that particular filament.

Given their recommended range, you're probably good with the generic PLA profile. I'd run a hollowed out calibration cube to calibrate the extrusion multiplier. See https://projects.ttlexceeded.com/3dprinting_prusaslicer_extrusion_multiplier.html#wall-thickness-in-prusaslicer (I usually do a two perimeter wall)

Thanks, it works great with the Prusa PLA settings (which don't seem to be that different from others, e.g. Amazon Basics or generic).

RE:

I use prusa pla settings in prusa slicer.

Printed a 47 hr print on my very first print after printing a couple of the prints with Prusament that come on the sd card. Swapped to the Overture PLA+ and started printing.

I bought the printer assembled and did not adjust anything,

It prints great. No issues.

Nozzle 215

Bed 60

Every speed settings I have selected have been good
