prints come off after several layers
So, new to 3D printing, and finally got my MK3S+ together.
So calibration and flat prints are fine, but as soon as I print something (like Benchy) after about 10mm depth of print, they seem to come off. I tried the prusa logo, and noticed that after a while, the sides started to peel up. The quality of the print seems good, but not sure why it starts to lift off the hotbed (regular steel one)
Also notice that the X-axis seems off. When it checks the 9 points the left most side is almost all the way to the edge, but the right side is quite a noticeable difference from the edge.

set the printer for 7x7 Mesh bed levelling (LCD Menu Option)
forget the Prusa First layer calibration tool,

the test patch files are in a zip file at the bottom of the first page.
Make sure that your Build plate is exceptionally clean,
Especially if it is the textured build plate.
chances are these three things will help.
Please take pictures of your first layer as it prints(after trying the above items) so that we can see what you can see,
please let us see a picture of the underside of your after trying the above items.

9 points is normal.
Clean bed with dish soap(sticking will get good)
Live z calibration needs to be 100%(sticking will get good).
Both settings are very important for 3d printing.
If live z is not low enough it will not stick.
Model can also come loose because of little drops of filament on top of model, overextrusion or to hot printing is possible.
Check youtube for first layer calibration on how to do this, is very important.
Practice on your first layer only, no holes not to thin, layers should stick together if you take it off the bed.

To answer this bit. The PINDA sensor located to the side of the nozzle is the but that is doing the checking. This will make it appear as if the extruder if too far left. Its not. Its just positioning the pinda above the calibration areas of the bed or when doing mesh bed levelling above where it needs to be.

I was about to start the test with the PLA print object, but noticed that the hothead and bed were not heating to the right temp. When looking up PLA, it says the head should be around 200 and the bed at 60. When I start up this print it sets the head to 170 and the bed to 55. Before continuing, I want to be sure that this will not damage/plug up my print head.
Also, I washed the bed with dish soap (and water) and that did not help. The only other thing I can think of may be ambient temperature? I am working in my basement, in Canada, in the winter. It's not freezing cold down here, but I do have on warm socks...

Ok, ran it and it came out fine (pre-heat was low, but went to the right temps for actual printing), but again, my issue is when layers are starting to get higher.
For instance, benchy prints fine for about 1 cm, then it pulls off.

ok, wiped it down again, then let it sit, then poured dishsoap on top, lathered it with a wash cloth and rinsed. I adjusted the height up about 0.025 and tried another print (actually of my design) and that seemed to stick to the end. The bottom of Benchy was smooth. I can clearly read out the CT3D.xyz.
since I am up and printing now (have done 4 prints) I think maybe it might have been oil? maybe from the bearings or natural hand oil? In any case, thanks for sticking this out with me. Happy Holidays.

I just built my mk3s+ the other day. This morning I had adhesion problems. Looked closely at the bed and I saw "wet" spots. I think it was oil dropped out of the bearings.

Hi Pathia,
That will not help with adhesion.
Did you also build the printer without lubricating the linear bearings with grease?
I see a potential issue.
If you manage to wipe the excess light oil off, and stop it dripping, there may be too little lubrication to protect your bearings.
you may wish to try doing some maintenance to keep the rods and bearings lubricated.

purists will say that you should not mix lubricants... Prusa however recommend adding grease to the smooth rods to maintain smooth operation. (and who is to say that the light oil and grease are actually different types of lube, (Synthetic / non synthetic) ) Are you feeling lucky!?
If this were My printer it would have been Lubed during build...
I expect the ideal solution would be to dissassemble the bearings, wash in IPA , dry and Re lube... then re-assemble
the prusa solution (above) is like a half way house.
Some folk will tell you they never lube their printers and have no problems,
Others will tell you their printers jammed up, as the light oil preparation dried out...
It's your printer, you need to decide what is best for you.

I am not an expert, so I trust on Prusa's experience and didn't do any lubrication just now when building, but I surely will do whenever I'm gonna do maintenance in the future.
It seems like it stopped dripping so fingers crossed I guess.
