Is Mini supported?

I would prefer to use one of my Minis rather than a Mk3S to test PrusaConnect, using one of my Raspi 3B+ currently running Octoprint. I found the thread here that explains how to configure the Prusalink image to use USB, so I believe the physical connection isn't an issue, but it's not clear to me from what I've read whether the Prusalink/Prusaconnect software works with a Mini or not. I'd appreciate it if someone could clarify this for me. Thanks.

On 3/24/2022 @tojik from Prusa confirmed that MINI is not supported yet:

RE: Is Mini supported?

Yup, it accidentally slipped. You were able to add it, so congrats. I had a message written up, must have forgotten to send it. No. PrusaLink on Linux/RPi won't support the MINI. We'll try our hardest to make it without the rpi first. Meanwhile, I'll have more time improving MK3 specific features. The MINI firmware is quite different, so it would add quite some complexity to the code.

I understand that you have to prioritize.

But all my personal computers are Raspberries (from Pi0 all the way up to 8GB Pi4B and my 4GB Pi400 main computer).
Only for work I use an Intel laptop, and that runs Red Hat Enterprise Linux — no Windows or MacOS.

Ideally, it won't need any external hardware. Will run on the mini itself. You can use whatever platform you like to access the websites

RE: Is Mini supported?

We have 10 mini's and 4 mk3s

None of which I can use with connect, mini's not supported (hurry up lads 😉) and MK3s because there are exact Zero Zero Pis on the entire planet.

Mildly frustrating but there we go, can't be helped. One day, maybe I'll be able to remotely run them all, but for now it's just many many many usbs 😂

RE: Is Mini supported?

Over the last few weeks, there are lots of merges and pull requests to the Prusa-Firmware-Buddy repo on GitHub involving Link and Connect.
Also during PRUSA LIVE #47 Josef shortly mentioned something about the Connect basic monitoring.

I did understand that there we a lot of people at Prusa on sick leave so that could cause some delays.

Anyone knows if it will be planned for release 4.4.1 or if it will be pushed to release 4.5.0?

On a side note. I understand that Prusa is shipping the XL Beta machines and the XL popped up in Connect.
I do not know if the Mini and XL share any source code, but if they do it might be that Prusa only has to backport the Link end Connect code from the XL to the Mini.
But again. I have absolutely idea if they share source code.

I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious
