Mini+ kit. Prints fine. Trouble loading and unloading filament.
Just finished building the kit version. Took several tries to load filament. I've only used a cr 10 before, but it seemed like too much force was needed to load the mini+. At one point, the filament got just into the tube connected to the hot end, but couldn't get past it. Unloading to try it again took a couple tries. Tried adjusting the screw just below the entry tube of the extruder to make it flush with the surface, but it still took a lot of force to get it to load. Layer calibration, the Prusa logo, and a benchy all printed fine. But, unloading also took 3 tries and force to pull the filament out once the motor stopped running.

Have you cut the filament at a 45 degree angle? I have also noticed that my Mini can be a bit hard to load if the filament haven't been cut at an angle.

RE: Mini+ kit. Prints fine. Trouble loading and unloading filament.
I cut at an angle the way I used to for the cr 10. This time tried more carefully and and it went in just fine, but nothing came out the other side, so I clicked "no" when it asked if the color was right. Then it purged normally. Is that normal?

[did not let me edit the reply] Unloading works fine too. Thanks!

You usually have to push the filament into the extruder for the gears to grab it during loading. And also pull as the filament when it has been retracted back to the gears during an unload.
