Surface bug in slicing spiral-vase object

I am working on 3d-printing a bellows-system out of TPU, and I'm encountering an issue with PrusaSlicer.

Specifically, for air-tight-ness and better TPU printing, I want to use Spiral-Vase mode, however, when I slice it, something in the geometry seems to be tripping it up. I don't think that this is just a visual artifact, although I haven't tried printing it. As you can see in the pictures, there appears to be some "wonky" toolpath that's being generated, and curiously, this disappears when I disable spiral vase mode.

Initially I thought this was some hidden flaw in the geometry, and tried a STEP import rather than using the 3MF that I have been using, but it made no difference.

I have also tried fiddling with the settings, such as changing from arachne to classic, and a bunch of other stuff, but nothing seems to help.
