Priming an IDEX
I'm trying to use PS with a Chinese low cost Mendel/IDEX. I'm trying to figure out how to tell it to prime the extruder BEFORE it starts the layer. So far all I've got will prime it after the Tool Change. Backwards.
Here's what I got:
G91 ;relative positioning
G1 E-1 F300 ;retract the filament a bit before lifting the nozzle, to release some of the pressure
G1 Z+0.5 E-5 X-20 Y-20 F9000 ;move Z up a bit and retract filament even more
G28 X ;move X to min endstops
G1 E+30 F300; prime nozzle
G90 ;absolute positioning
Some advice would be greatly appreciated!
