PETG tuning, first attempt help needed
My first attempt at using PETG, using prusament red glitter, I thought I was just getting red...
Using MK3s, default PETG settings for prusa-slicer 2.3, I couldn't even put the first perimeters down -- parts didn't adhere and when turning corners the nozzle just dragged the filament across the corner. So I upped the nozzle temp to 245 for first layer, but it's still not adhearing well. It also looks like it isn't extruding nearly as much material as it does with PLA. Is the glitter version of PETG more difficult / different to print than regular PETG? Suggestions for what's wrong from the picture? (I had a couple more but it only allows one?)

Sounds like a classic case of wrong Live Z.
To get Live Z right, don't use the in-built method, as the small square is hard to read, especially if you're not experienced. Use this instead: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/life-adjust-z-my-way/
I haven’t used the red glitter myself so it’s not impossible it’s an issue with the filament but my money is on Live Z.

I will decrease Z a bit more; I had adjusted it some already but not done a calibration with a square like that with PETG. I have done them with PLA and was hoping it would be pretty much the same as PLA.
I'm still uncomfortable about the glitter, but will have to wait for some other filament to arrive to test that. It seems like glitter has to be solid chunks which makes me wonder if a 0.6mm nozzle might help as well. Unfortunately, the piece I want to print is fairly detailed and might suffer as a result.

Worth giving the 0.6 nozzle a try. I have printed other glitter filament with 0.4 nozzles fine but who knows.

Red-faced... I neglected to take into account the fact that I changed from a smooth PEI sheet to a textured one... duh. Recalibrate Z and things seem to be going ok. Thanks again
