Issue: PrusaSlicer creates overhangs with infill

I noticed this behavior on few occasions. Infill is not formed in a way to support top layers above at the whole surface. Top layer ends up printing in air without support.

Here is an example shown in two images.

First image shows infill. Infill  is intentionally set to 5% as issue is more obvious, but problem is the same with more dense infill, just overhangs are shorter so bigger chance for print to survive.

The second image shows first top layer above infill that prints in air.

One would expect, slices would place something at least on the edge of top layer to support it.

I handle this by increasing infill density and hoping overhangs would be small enough not to ruin print, or by adding supports.

But I think that should not be necessary. Slicer should handle that better, or I do not know how to set it up to avoid this issue?

Whole model in 3mf is attached to the post as it better shows how this situation occurs.

That's because there isn't an attachment.

There isn't also any setting to 'fix' the problem the OP has either.  There have been many issues opened on the PS github already.  Most of them now closed as duplicates of this one https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/569

I don't see an attachment.

For some reason it is lost.

But it does not matter. I see this issue is already known and unresolved so I cannot add anything new.
