I followed Prusa isntructions, lost LOT of work!
I had oozing issues, and decided to experiment with retraction and Z lift settings. ( https://help.prusa3d.com/article/stringing-and-oozing_1805 ). Without warning(!!!), PrusaSlicer deleted all my print settings, and several years worth of fine tuning effort.
How come anyone thinks this behaviour is ok`? Does Prusa have any real users in their testing team? and most importantly, how do I get these back?

Don't you have backups of your user home directory?
If not, and you are on Windows, you could look into the directory C:\users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\PrusaSlicer\snapshots\
if there are any snapshots present. Before upgrades PrusaSlicer usually creates such a Snapshot. These should have at least some of your previous settings.
But you should really consider setting up an automatic backup system of some sort. You might not have needed it until now, but there you are ...

Or browse Windows restore snapshot if the directory is in the backed up list.
