Feature request: connect the islands using single first layer lines, like streets connecting cities on a map
When printing the popular "flexible" models, there are lots of small islands for each part.
It would be great if the islands were connected with a single line to their 3 closest neighbors - the single line would be easy to remove, it wouldn't be the big fight that a a brim would be, and it would greatly reduce the chance of a small island "letting go" during the first few layers.
For example, imagine if it added the green lines in a smart way: https://photos.app.goo.gl/xviHdz2oEk6aomgP8
That is so little material used, but would really keep one part from "popping off" - or if it did pop off, there would be good odds that the print could continue.
No, no, no, no, no definitely no. That would make all print-in-place mechanisms, bearings and gear chains print seized and in most cases unuseable.
If you are having adhesion problems with only a couple of dozen start points then look to cleaning your print sheet.
Here's an example with a couple of hundred start points, this sort of print should be achievable with any well maintained printer.

No, no, no, no, no I'm not saying do it ALL the time. You are 100% right, that would be a horrible idea.
Just to do it when requested - like when requesting to auto-generate supports, this is a horizontal version of supports!

Due to various and complex shapes that can show u it is not to be expected that slicer can generate those lines automatically.
But idea is good. I would be satisfied with option to freely draw those lines at bed level plane on my own.
You could do that easily in CAD, no need for slicer complications.
