Can you add a brim to a part like you do for an object
Can you add a brim to a part like you do for an object and if so how ( did not find the possibility to do it) ?
Basically I wanted to split this HP@C-complit from here into parts https://www.printables.com/model/864912-hand-crank-for-the-pastamatic/files as object does not work for one of the pieces that consist of several parts which I did not realized until I spit it to parts and had a conflict with paths when slicing.
In this example the axle consist of 3 parts, the other parts could be considered as objects. The axle is the one I had issue with and yes I now understand the difference between parts and objects.
This happened because I sliced the stl file instead of using the 3MF file ( now I understand better why), but still would like to know if it's possible.
I know I can take the individual files but I am trying to understand prusaslicer better.
In addition:

Merge parts to make an object?

Yes, button at top
Merge parts to make an object?
Merged parts *are* an object. Select the parts required, right click and merge.

All parts of an object get the same brim, if a multipart object is split to parts right click on one of them and 'Add Settings' includes skirt and brim options then one can differ from the others.
Which axle is causing problems? There are two, one hexagonal section that should print flat on the bed without needing a brim and another with a flatted round section and nail-head type end which must be printed vertically and will in any case be weak. I would split it in two along the length, lay the parts flat and then join them post printing with glue - that way it should be much stronger and not need brim.

I can see that you can change all the parts into objects, but you cannot select individual parts to do the same. In addition, you can change the type of part to negative volume, modifier, support blocker and support enforcer, but not into an object which is what I was looking for.
And by selecting parts I cannot merge them into a object either.
Each part is part of a larger object - you must split that object into multiple smaller objects then maybe merge all but one of them leaving the one separate object you intended.
