RE: Update...(Kind of)
Another update from a Prusa team member on Reddit (nomadsgalaxy):
The Bondtech team is working around the clock to get solid updates to the community as fast as they possibly can, while I understand there is a lot of excitement for this, and everyone is eager to get their units, Bondtech's current goal is clear;
Ensure that INDX is of the highest caliber, for all users. No one wants to ship or receive sub-par product.
At this time, they are still working on finalization, and once they are confident in what they have, they will provide updates.
Same non-information as before, I think: We are not telling you what the problem is, nor what the path to resolution is, nor how long we think it will take.
RE: Update...(Kind of)
It certainly says “we are working on it”. I think it is par for the way Prusa has done things in the past. I do think they have lost business share because of their secrecy and business practices. I am not sure how much.
I watched a YouTube from a Bambu pusher last night that started with the INDX will destroy Bambu and flipped to the INDX is an expansive piece of junk that could never beat Bambu. He got a quick thumbs down for being click bait.
I have not purchased an INDX. I am waiting to see if they release it built into a Core One L. I am holding off on both till at least till I see one of you post your success.

Honestly, in their (Bondtech) shoes I might do the same: Focus on the product, not PR. Don't step into the piranha tank, and no, not even "just a little finger".
I am thinking of a certain company here - that shall remain unnamed - who is well-known for creating loads of hype through polished - and expensive - marketing efforts.

Prusa and Bondtech have already done the "hype" thing months ago. Now it's about delivering on the promise. And lacking the ability to do so, a bit more honesty and openness would serve them well I think.
I don't expect polished marketing materials, just some honest facts: We found a [quality control | tolerance |robustness | whatever] problem with [docking | temperature sensing | whatever] late in the process. We are addressing it by [optimizing the manufacturing process | implementing firmware compensation | whatever]. Due to [supplier lead times | required careful verification | whatever] this is expected to take about [whatever weeks | months] to resolve.

Hmmm I'm not so sure, people are going with the transparency line, but I think deep down transparency isn't the core issue... the delay is.
People wouldn't care one iota about transparency if the product was delivered on time.
I'm in a different boat entirely, the delays honestly aren't bothering me (yet)...that hideous front panel us founders are getting lumbered with bothers me massively.
There was one lunatic on Discord trying to convince me that the founders front panel will become a collectors item in time 😂, and a few others 'coping' by saying they actually prefer the founders front panel. 😂😂😂
I'm willing to wager if Bondtech gave the founders the option of which front panel to have...literally zero would choose the horror show founders one.
RE: Update...(Kind of)
Sure, the delay is the root issue. But being open about the cause, the solution, and the timeline would provide some mitigation. I think it would be the better way to preserve customers' trust in Bondtech and Prusa, unless it is a very stupid or a very serious/fundamental issue.

I suppose it’s a case of Stockholm Syndrome
RE:
Oh, lets not get into a chat about some of the acolytes on the Discords for fear of them spouting a tirade of angry memes giving out about us.
I can completely understand why Prusa and Bondtech are not communicating what the issue is. Because even if it's resolved completely and unequivocally prior to shipment, people will still be overly focused on it regardless to ensure their unit doesn't still have the issue. I know I would be! It would consume me!!! I don't want to know, just quiet confidence in the engineers ability to resolve it.
It is a bad business move essentially and even if the engineering guys wanted to say it they'd get a slap on the wrist.
On the different discords, it has been noted as a "small" issue that was only identified at the very last minute. Apparently, it's very "resolvable" but now the time is being spent on ensuring the fix shows longevity. I am very much paraphrasing and summarizing from a number of different messages from either Olaf, Nomad and/or Tommie but that's essentially the party line on the issue. It has also been said that May is on the cards for shipment also... but we'll see. Now we do need to bare in mind that the active members on the discord from these companies are more like community liaisons than individuals directly involved in production or development from my understanding. So everything they output is likely also being filtered to them or noting what can and cannot be shared.
So with all that... essentially... what's going on there is anyone's fucking guess 🤣

The brand apologists are a huge majority over there. It's quite something.
Bondtech could send them a box with 3 turds in it and I bet someone would post 'well we did get a reduced price...' 😂
RE: Update...(Kind of)
Nah, they would complain that they were expecting 4 turds and polished.

I'm inclined to agree. I have only curiosity, rather than a standing order that hasn't been fulfilled -- but gee whiz, I see so much childish and immature behavior in the larger community, I can understand the reluctance to share more information than is absolutely necessary.

I saw the same one, it seems to have been the most recent video that comes up in a search of "Prusa INDX" for quite a while now. Not really worth watching unless you want to be annoyed or to downvote the stupid clickbait. The creator is "3D print rancher" if you really want to go seek it out.
