Cable in weird place. Prusa CoreOne
Hello,
I was trying to swap my nozzle on my Core One, and it looks like one of the wires is in the wrong spot. It appears to be behind the clip that is supposed to be holding it in place, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to move it. I believe it is the blue and orange one in this picture.
this is what it should look like:
Thanks,
&.

You dont need to deassamble the entire hotend for nozle change. Loosen the thubscrews and unscrew the nozzle. Very easy and much faster.
RE:
What's up with the cables which are snaking in front of the lower thumbscrew, then behind the upper one? That can't be right; they look strained and will interfere with turning the thumbscrews. Did you push in or rotate the hotend the wrong way maybe?
I don't think Prusa has pusblished instructions for assembling the Nextruder specifically on the Core One yet, since the kit version is not yet shipping. But the MK4S instructions should be very close, except for the placement of the parts cooling fan: https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/5-nextruder-assembly_707767#733551
EDIT: By the way -- no need to post the same question twice here. The two parallel threads will only cause confusion.

This is normal for the Core One. It looks the same for me.

Thanks for the clarification. But does it look "healthy" to you? I may be mis-judging this from the photo, but it looks to me like there is strain on the cable and it is grating against both thumbscrews? Also, does the hotend sit at an angle (rotated around the vertical axis)?
RE: Cable in weird place. Prusa CoreOne
You mean because it is rotated by 45 degrees in contrast to the Mk4? Yes, that is correct. It was probably done that way for cooling, I would guess.

Yes, it's rotated at a funny angle -- not by 45°, but closer to 135° if I see it correctly. (Heater cables don't come out in the back of the hotend, but front/left?) That looks improvised, but will probably work ok.
But aren't the heater cables too short that way? It looks like they are bent under strain right where they exit the hotend, and then grate on the two thumbscrews with the wires being under some tension.
It looks a bit like a "proof of concept" to me -- yes, we can make things work in the Core One, and now need to implement a couple of engineering changes to make them fit well.
RE: Cable in weird place. Prusa CoreOne
Update: I was on with Tech support for about 3 hours trying to explain this through text, Video, and photos (It's not the best way to do that.) So, long story short, the cable is in the wrong location. They are going to send me a new heating nozzle assembly so I can remove the stuck cable. It should be in the holder, not tucked behind the plastic part in my picture. I'm guessing it's a QC issue during assembly. All that being said, the first guy I talked to just wanted to stop talking to me, and the second guy was great.
