Toolhead #5 will not dock/park without a LOUD sound

This is a "pre-assembled" XL5T.  All my other docks and extruders were simple and easy to setup.  No issues, and they all make a nice soft click when docking/undocking.

Extruder/head #5 on the other hand is a mess.  Doing the initial dock by hand requires a little force on the metal brackets in order for them to slide and fully lock.  And while the calibration completes half the time, the toolhead makes a loud noise when docking/undocking which is clearly NOT as desired, since the others do not. Closer inspection seems to indicate that the toolhead does not align even when the 2 dock screws are loosened to allow the fine adjustment rail to move.

So thinking that one dock or head was askew or faulty, I completely removed and swapped docks and heads 4 and 5.  Guess what? The problem head works PERFECTLY in position 4, and the previously perfect head 4 is having the issue at position 5.  So this seems to be some physical alignment issue with position 5, or possibly with the entire rail, and the error just compounds near the end.

Any ideas for what to check for and how to troubleshoot further before I engage support chat?

I remember the face of the docks not perfectly modeled against the extrusion, so you have a bit of 'wiggle room' to which way to bias the installation, esp since it's held together by a single bolt. Mine are all slightly canted downwards and I've yet to come across an issue.

It's also very possible that the extrusion insert hole was just drilled/tapped badly causing the misalignment. Try screwing in the bolt alone without the dock at all and see how badly its aligned one way or another.

So combined with your feedback, I also saw another thread where they recommended just torquing the living hell out of that screw while wiggling the mount dock.   I do have a t-handle 2.5mm hex that I bought specifically for this printer, so I did try that.  I did not go super-tight, as that made me nervous, but applying significantly more torque than I initially did definitely seems to have made it better.

I did see a guy that mentioned he filed away part of his dock mount to get it to fit in the extrusion. It is past midnight here, so I stopped where I did for now, but I'll definitely check that tomorrow to see if maybe that's the issue. If that is the case, I do have some diamond plates I use for knife sharpening that would allow a very precise removal of material at a very slow and methodical rate.
