Extruder Slipping?

I just ran into a problem where the 2nd and 3rd layers are very under extruded and I can hear the extruder slipping trying to feed the filament.  The first layer is perfect.  This isn't the first print I've used this tool head for but it's the full width of the print volume and I'm using the "0.2 mm SPEED" preset so it's likely faster than anything I've tried previously.  I tried unloading the filament and reloading it but with the same result (it's Overture Silk PLA).  I moved it over to a different tool head and it's printing fine.

I checked the filament path for kinks and I even tried feed out some extra filament from the spool but it didn't help.  The temps look reasonable (fluctuating between 220/119).  All my nozzles are ObXidian and both tools/nozzles I've tried are practically new (part of the 2 to 5 upgrade).  So, it's possible one of them has a defect I just didn't notice on previous prints.

Any idea what I should check for?  I could try swapping out the nozzle for one of the brass ones as a test.  Not sure what I can do with the extruder itself though.

You can try adjusting the nextruder idler pressure - the two screws on top; always move both by the same amount.

Cheerio,

RE: Extruder Slipping?

Thanks!  I checked the screws and they were adjusted as per Prusa's recommendations (one disadvantage of the preassembled parts is that I didn't even realize they were there).  So, I backed them out and back in again just to be safe.  I also decided to check the nozzle and it was no where near screwed in all the way!  I'm sure that was it.  Running a test print now.  I'm surprised it worked as well as it did with how far out it was.
