professional support?

Hello

I have bought and assembled a semi-assembled Prusa XL. From the start the printer wont print and shows after some toolhead-movements the fault 17513 Puppy not found.

I've tried one month with the prusa support. All I get is IKEA-DIY. For a expensive printer like the XL I would expect more.

Does anyone know a professional technician or repair shop that has experience with Prusa XL. Preferably in Switzerland, Germany would do as well. For e experienced technican, that has some new parts to switch, it shouldn't take too long to find the fault.

Thanks

Heiner

RE: professional support?

You'll hardly find someone who has alot of experience and also has these parts as spare by hand...

Have you read and tried what is listed in the according knowledge-base article? https://help.prusa3d.com/article/puppy-error-17513-xl_400128
The issue could be at:

  • wiring and connectors
  • XL Buddy board
  • Dwarf Board
  • Sandwich Board
  • and if it's a 5T also the XL Splitter board

Unfortunately the error doesn't state to which component it has lost its communication connection.

Professional support for a hobby printer is rare ...

expensive printer like the XL

Actually, the XL is extremely cheap for a printer of its standard, professional printers start at about ten times the price.

You may find another user near you on: https://world.prusa3d.com/en/     - there are over two thousand listings in Switzerland.

But your error is almost certain to be a loose/damaged/incorrect electrical connection.  Check wiring and plugs.

Cheerio,

If you still look for someone in switzerland, i can recommend Die-3d-techniker.ch

Always had good experience with them, not for Prusa tough but other expensive tools like sigmax r19 and similar printers.

RE: professional support?

If you still have the problem, and I hope you do not, after all this tine, I had the same error and fitting the new assembly that holds the cables entering the tool head fixed the problem for me. Prusa Support said to try it as a long shot but it certainly fixed my problem.
