"LOading" USB files

A general question about the loading of files from a USB stick.

Is the  file loaded "all at once" or is it accessed layer by layer as the print progresses ?

I ask because I started a 3 hour print yesterday and went off to edit a different model - so an hour later I wanted to put the sliced model on the same USB stick.    So, can I remove the USB sick as soon as the print starts ?

Sure, I have more than one USB stick, but I would like to keep this set of prints all together.

Anyone know ?

Hi!
To answer you question, despite it being years later... but if someone else sees this while searching and wondering, I quote from elsewhere in the help.prusa3d.com:

"The printer will copy the project to its internal memory during printing."

This means you should be fine removing the USB stick during a print. However... Do you really need to copy the file onto the stick mid-print? I would say there's always a risk unplugging any device mid operation, and you probably can wait that two hours for the print to finish, right?
