A few questions about resin

Does anyone drain and filter used resin back into the bottle? If not, is there a good reason for this?

It seems wasteful to throw out resin in the vat. Do you just pour more resin in with the used resin in the vat?

Do you filter the resin and clean the vat every time?

Thanks for your time

I filter the used resin into a spare bottle and then clean the vat. next time I do a model I add the resin from the spare bottle, top up with fresh if required and print again...    resin seems to deteriorate with use and age, if you tip used in with fresh, you pre age the fresh resin!

@joantabb

I am at a loss. My prints keep sticking to the FEP. I have replaced the FEP, updated the firmware, recalibrated and put clean resin in the vat.

I have also cleaned the build plate and sanded it. I also increased the first layer time from 35 seconds to 50.

Any suggestions?

maybe initial calibration is a bit low?

maybe initial exposure time is a bit short!

maybe ultraviolet array output is low...

have you broken any mirrors recently? lol...

Check calibration of the screen and redo the ball-plate calibration.

Print sticking to the FEP on SL1 are mostly due to these
