Changing Filament 0% Finishing Buffered gcodes

Hello,

I just finished building my MMU3 on a Mk3.5 and I am having a bunch of issues.

I am currently stuck with this error:

Changing Filament 0% Finishing Buffered gcodes

It comes up with I try to "Preload to MMU"

Any ideas what this is or how to get it around it?

Thank you!

RE: Changing Filament 0% Finishing Buffered gcodes

It Looks like your MMU Finda Sensor is showing filament present.

If you are currently trying to load filament the Finda Status is possibly Incorrect.
If there is filament in the FINDA then it would be a good idea to clear it out,
If there is no filament in the Finda, then the Finda sensor is probably mal adjusted.

https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/5-selector-assembly_357317      section 10 refers to SupaFinda Adjustment

It is possible that the SuperFinda is too low in the selector housing causing it to appear "ON" all of the time

https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/10b-mk3s-mk3-5-setup-and-calibration_334155

SuperFinda Calibration~

there is a red light visible through the glue around the top of the Superfinda Wire which should be illuminated when the finda sensor is clear, and should be dark, when there is filament in the superfinda sensor assembly.

When filament is loading to the MMU, the filament should trigger the superfinda sensor twice for each filament and  the filament should be held ready, in the MMUmain body waiting for the printer to select one of the five filaments, to start the print.
I Hope this information helps

regards Joan

Okay, that's a big help. I am now one step further.

It says "Loading Filament" I hear a noise, the screen says:

"Loading Filament" 25% Feeding to FINDA"

The first MMU light is blinking, FINDA light is still red, I hear a humming noise.

Filament Sensor and FINDA Sensor are both "OFF" now.

Sits like that for a few ever, nothing happens. The first MMU light is still blinking, but nothing is happening.

I hit the middle button 5 times and the screen goes away. But I am not sure that did what it was supposed to do..

Since I have had the MMU3, I have not had to push any of the three buttons.

If you look inside the MMU From the front while the MMU is humming and trying to load. can you see the  pulley shaft rotating? If not, try opening the  MMU and try loading again the pulleys should rotate freely.

I had an issue at one time, where the grub screw on one of the pulleys collided with the Idler pulley and stopped the pulley motor rotating.

if all is well, try manually loading filament 1 into the mmu, and across the pulley so it's held in place by the plastics both sides of the Pulley, then close the Idler cover and fasten it in place with the tension springs and screws. and try loading filament 1 again,   with luck, filament 1 should move to the Superpinda housing twice and then park itself where you manually loaded it.

If this works, try loading the remaining filaments.

the most common issues with filament not loading in the MMU, are
Idler cover tension screws/springs too tight, and
Pulley position incorrect in pulley motor shaft

RE:

i reset my printer and factory reset my printer and unloaded everything manually, hit every reset button but every time I would try to load up the MMU, i would STILL get the "Changing Filament 0% Finishing Buffered gcodes" message (even after a factory reset)...

I finally removed the FINDA from the MMU and put it near a magnet so the icon for the FINDA changed to "Off", then I reinstalled the MMU FINDA and it works now.

I just faced a similar issue and found a broken piece of filament between my MMU and nozzle
