MMU2S keeps pushing filament into extruder

Hi

For some reason my printer has started to push filament into the extruder without stopping and the print will not start, leaving a blob of PLA at the first point on the steel sheet. I've done full calibration, Cold pull, the PINDA and FINDA work and I've even replaced the nozzle.

Please help

This usually happens to me when the IR sensor has not tripped from a steady 0 to 1.

Were you able to resolve your issue?  I've been having the exact same issue since upgrading to the latest firmware.  It is indeed my IR sensor not changing to 1 once the print starts, but before that it works as expected.  I can't figure out whats going on!

@bandit

On the MK3s/MMU2S both sensors communicate with each other. This is also necessary to determine the filament length from the MMU2S to the extruder. If one sensor is not working correctly or gives an incorrect feedback, such errors will occur. Adjust both sensors:

Statt zu klagen, dass wir nicht alles haben, was wir wollen, sollten wir lieber dankbar sein, dass wir nicht alles bekommen, was wir verdienen.
