Every single MMU2s print starts with “Remove old filament and press the knob to start loading new filament”

I have an STL that I sliced using prusaSlicer using MMU2S Single profile and when I go to print it does a normal choose a filament, purge and then prompts for “Remove old filament and press the knob to start loading new filament”. This is not a huge deal but I’m kicking off prints every hour, so it’s getting annoying. Is this something in the G-code, in the printer settings, or a state I start the print in (i.e. filament is already loaded). Just trying to be efficient appreciate the help. Thanks!

Have the same issue. Did you solve it?

Same with me, but it is not consistent.  I see this maybe 1 out of 7 prints.  At first I thought is was due to random sensor errors, but now I'm thinking it's something else.  If it were a sensor issue, I would expect to see errors during mid print filament changes, and I never do. It only occurs at the start of a print. I've looked to see if some random GCode is causing it, but is has eluded me thus far.

We have the same problem as Lynn. You can forget about any help because of the new XL coming out.

RE:

Have you checked what the two filament sensers are reporting? Could it be that they are not consistent in their reading and a false filament end is detected? If it's in the g-code that would be strange, never seen it myself, but what do I know.

I am having the same issue since today. I wrongly uploaded a gcode dedicated to a non mmu MK3S+ printer, and since then it does not work anymore. MMU doesnt load filament correctly. Forces to get filament out, although there is no need.

Did anyone solve this in the meantime?
