Calibration Help: PINDA too high? Trouble with First Layer Calibration
Hi all,
I recently got an i3 mk3s kit and mmu2s upgrade. I assembled and tested the base i3 mk3s and it worked great, i was able to calibrate it and it did a simple print with ease. Yesterday I finished adding the MMU2s upgrade, and flashed my firmware to 3.90 (1.06). The system seems to be working well in all other respects, and I've been able to load filaments. My only remaining issue is the First Layer calibration. At Z=0.00, The printhead is too high, and so the corners of the zig-zag pattern are bent (I don't have pics yet, will add to post next time I try it). I can only back the printhead off (Z>0.00), and not push it forward, so I can't get the nozzle close enough to the bed to get good results. I think this is because of my PINDA placement height, but I've been unable to fully correct the issue while sliding it up and down. I'd appreciate any advice or tips in this matter. Test prints also fail, because the filament doesn't get pressed into the steel sheet, and just kind of drips. I've followed the calibration steps repeatedly to no avail.

When you do the first layer calibration you want to move the nozzle in the negative direction, which will move the nozzle closer to the bed. If you watch the first layer calibration video from Prusa on YouTube you'll see how this is done.

When you do the first layer calibration you want to move the nozzle in the negative direction, which will move the nozzle closer to the bed. If you watch the first layer calibration video from Prusa on YouTube you'll see how this is done.

Thanks for the info! I guess I had my coordinate system backwards, and wasn't going far enough to see changes. That's what I get for doing stuff late at night. Everything is working now and I know which way is up!
