Heads up: Inland PETG foruma change

Sometime in the past couple months, Microcenter changed the formulation of its PETG filament. The packages look the same, but the new version has a different SKU and the sticker recommends printing at 225-240, vs. 230-250 for the old stuff. The new filament also has more of a matte finish as compared to the older formulation which was extremely glossy.

I found that I had to set the print temperature a few degrees cooler with the new formulation to get reliable filament changes. So if you use Inland PETG, be aware that you might have to adjust your settings. Both the old and new may still be on store shelves right now so it might not be obvious which version you're buying unless you look carefully.

Could you post the SKUs you have for the old and/or new formulation?

Sadly, I can't. I don't keep track of the SKUs and already discarded the boxes.

I only happened to notice that two reels of the same color PETG happened to be marked with different temperatures and have different SKUs. The boxes were otherwise identical. When I opened the new box and compared to the one I already had, the difference in the finish (matte vs. glossy) was really obvious.
