Lubricating filament passage for Lack enclosure?

Hello,

I've been in the process of setting up the lack table enclosure for my MK3S, and I really like the idea in theory...but in practice, the filaments keep catching on the piece that is put through the hole in the top table to pass the filament through.  This not only creates a very loud and obnoxious noise, but has also resulted in issues with prints - the printer has to pull harder than it should on the filament, and sometimes the pull is strong enough that it actually moves the print head, leaving me with layer shifts and sometimes just outright failures.

Just wondering if I can lubricate this piece, and if so - what should I use?  I've seen posts from people wanting to use vegetable oil, but that just seems like it's asking for trouble once that oil hits the hot end at a much higher temperature than its smoke point.  Would a graphite spray lubricant work?  Something else?  Just give up and go back to the uncovered spool holder?
