Power On always says not calibrated
Each time the i3 resets it says it is not calibrated, I did and it appears to complete the process,

What i3? Is it MK2? Did you run V2Calibration.gcode a let it run till end?

You need to run/print v2calibration.gcode. It is on the SD card.

My experience: If the Live Z adjust value is 0, then the "not calibrated" message is always shows. When you run the V2Calibration gcode, you tweak that value. So the message goes away.

I think I saw a recent firmware change on the Github for the firmware to help with this issue.
and an 8 inch (200mm) or greater caliper is recommended.

I will give it a try.
I've experienced the same problem after a failed print.
- Assembled printer running ok for a couple of months
- Petg print stopped manually (from the menu) because the first layer wasn't really satisfing, playing with the z live adjustment
- Printer turned off
- Switched on the next evening, was complaining about printer not calibrated, z index to 0
Do I have to swich back to PLA to run the calibratoin_v2?
