Problem with joining X axis and Z axis

Hello,
encoutered my first real problem in assembly. When I slide the X axis on the Z axis, the X-axis seems to bend Z axis thread rods and smooth rods outwards. The problem seems to be that smooth rods of X axis are too long, since the Z axis is straight when X axis is not mounted. The mounting of Z-axis-top parts is not possible because of that bend. Any suggestions? I made sure that smooth rods of X axis are fully pushed in the printed parts.

Hope somebody can help.

Cheers,

Tomi

no, they aren't.
if they were, you won't get what you've got and because the x-axis rods are the longest in the package, you couldn't have mixed them up with other rods.
if you're in doubt: check the length of the x-axis rods, they should be exactly 370mm in total.

your x-axis rods need to be pushed completely into the holes of the x-motor end and the x-idler end, which seems to be not the fact until now.
maybe something is blocking the hole (debris, filament remainders ??), check this.
in doubt, "clean" the holes carefully with an 8mm wood-drill (why wood-drill ? : because they are not chamfered).

if the rods have sharp edges so that they refuse to be pushed smoothly into the holes, break the edges of the rods with some sandpaper, or a file.
to help "sliding" the rods into the holes, you can use a drop of liquid soap at the end of each rod.

by the way: the two little m3 screws (and the square washers), at the x-idler part, are there to adjust the length of the whole x-axis carriage in the way that the carriage doesn't squeeze the z-axis rod and the z-axis spindles.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...
