Print bed vibration

This is something I have been dealing with since day one and can't seem to find a solution on my own.

A change in the Y-Axis while printing causes a vibration into the print bed. It is noisy and irritating, especially if there are many axis changes in rapid succession. It's not the zip ties on the carriage but the actual screws that go down into the carriage.

The anti vibration feet are installed but don't seem to help this problem.

Does anyone have ideas?

Yes, I am running the latest firmware.

It's like the holes are just a hair too big or the screws too small.

Do you use the clips to hold the glass? Usually they are the reason for rattling sounds.

Had it with the glass /clips setup as well as with the geckotek bed I am now using. If I just lightly touch the bed while it's printing the vibration and sound goes away.

I don't know if the vibrations are having an effect on the prints since I don't have anything to compare against.

You can always share picture of the prints and we can tell if it has effect.

For a quick test I would use a bit of kitchen cling film on the tip of the screw before putting the bed in the y-carriage.

Genius idea. I'll try the cling film and see what happens.

I have the same issue, did the cling film solution work for you?

Hmmm, after some more thorough investigation it seems like there is some slop within the single linear bearing under the Y axis. I expect the only way to solve this is to modify the rod mounts on this side - offset the rod mount clip by 0.1mm - 0.2mm toward the outside. This might pull the slop out.

Where can I find the model for this part? And what material was is printed in?

Thanks!
