E3D V6 or lite?

The i3 Plus 1.75mm kits that are currently being shipped, is the E3D hotend a v6 or the Lite6 version?

Thanks

Hi

With the change to 1.75mm Josef switch to the Lite6. See his blog post here: http://prusaprinters.org/prusa-i3-is-now-1-75-mm/

I have both and the only difference is the stainless steel heat break barrel and the lower maximum temperature of the Lite6.

The maximum temperature on E3D's website for the Lite6 is 245C. This is because of the full length PTFE liner.

So, that ponders the question why the supplied firmware preheat on the i3 Plus, supplied sample ABS parts, and included Slic3r profiles have 255C ? I've been printing ABS for 3-5 hours (seemingly without damage).

Hi

Josef has posted here previously that the Lite6 runs fine at 255 degrees, so there should not be any issues.

However, I tend to print ABS @ 230 degrees maximum; there doesn't seem any reason to exceed the specified filament temperatures.
