Unmount the cover and simply turn the heatsink.

Just wanted to check before I attach it to the rest of the printer?

It's from straight out of the box. I've tried twisting it a bit but it won't budge and I don't want to use too much force.

You might even be able to twist it without loosening anything. Be sure to turn it clockwise so as not to possibly loosen the heat sink from the heat brake.

it looks as if you've loosened the heatbreak inside the heater block.
the heatbreak and the nozzle need "to kiss" each other firmly inside the heater block, at a high temperature !
so they need to be assembled "watertight" when the hotend is heated up to about 275°C.

you need this to get fixed before you extrude any filament through the hotend, otherwise you'll get a leakage above the heater block, or at the threads of the nozzle.
simply screwing the parts together with your hands at room temperature won't do the job.
I did this at the first assembly of my kit (last november) and ran later on into nasty leakage issues... and it was a really pita to get everything cleaned up and properly assembled at the second attempt.
