Another bed bites the dust!

Yesterday I printed something large that took a long time, 17 hours.

It was the shelf unit in this thing http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1666929

This morning after I carefully removed the box, I noticed 4 small but distinctive bumps in the bed, where the corners printed. You can clearly feel them if you run your finger across them.

Pretty sure the bed is shot, I think it being flat is important, right?

I sent it over to customer service, see what I should do.

Eh, don't worry just yet. These little bumps go away in no time all by themselves. If you want to speed things up, try heating the bed for a few minutes.

So far, all these bumps disappeared "automatically" here on my 2 PEI printers.

It's ok, they'll disappear after few next prints unless you repeatedly print the same object again and again.

No way!

I was freaking out pretty bad this morning, thanks folks for chilling me out. So is this caused by warping prints lifting the PEI layer? I am having some serious warping issues all of the sudden. I blame winter.

So can I print other things or do I risk the hot end hitting the bumps? My live z adjustment is very very close. Like 0 lines on the first layer. Might also be what is contributing to the wrapping.

I don't think so. It's very unlikely to happen.

Well I printed something else and it came out fine. In fact, it was really difficult to remove from the bed so the stick is still there.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge!
