It seems to me that it should be possible to load and unload filament without a separate manual preheat step. I would like to see the firmware request in both cases the type of filament to be loaded or unloaded and then automatically preheat the hot end. If I request to unload the filament I should be asked the type of filament - though it could just store the type from the last load - and then automatically preheat to the temperature for that type of filament. When the temperature is reached, the filament automatically unloads. Something similar would happen when I attempt to load filament without first preheating the hot end. It would sense that I'm loading filament and then ask me what type of filament I'm loading. At that point it would automatically heat the hot end to the proper temperature and when the temperature was reached, it would automatically complete the loading process. Get rid of the Error screens about performing a preheat. Just perform the preheat automatically based on input as to the type of filament.
