Prints problems and extruder freezing
Hello I'm having some problems with my prints.
The filament layers doesn't attach well, i tried to adjust the extruder height but for some reason i can't fix the issue. Mind, i have printed the same object before and calibrated the extruder right with no problems. the bug started after i changed filament and went back to the one i'm using.
I've noticed another problem with my printer, here's a video:
The extruder engine isn't running smoothly and it's really hot, at last 60*+
Re: Prints problems and extruder freezing
that sound is the extruder gear slipping, so something is causing a lot of resistance to the filament. Either nozzle not hot enough, not enough tension on the spring, super lower nozzle clearance or a partial jam somewhere. It will normally get pretty hot, I've measured mine over 80c before.
can you make it through first layer calibration okay?
Re: Prints problems and extruder freezing
Keep in mind my eyes are nearly 50 this year, but from the video it looks like the Hobb gear is not inline with the filament path

Calibration run fine without the gear slipping, i notice it only start doing after 1hours+ of printing . I'm also using a big calibration sheet object i found online: at -0.285 the layer breaks while at 0.300 it start dusting
