Dimensions needed
Hello, as I (im)patiently wait for my newly ordered Mk3, I have a couple of questions that I hope you guys can help me with.
I've been reading a couple of comments about replacing the smooth idler pulleys with gt2-16 tooth idler pulleys. In preparation for when my printer arrives, I ordered two of them and will use during assembly. Ive also read the instruction manual numerous times and don't really like how the y axis belt is tensioned so I'm working up a new idler pulley tensioner. What I need from you guys is to grab your calipers and measure the thickness of the plate that the idler mounts to (labeled "front plate" in instruction manual). I would also like to know a rough dimension from the top of the front plate to the lowest part of the underside of the y axis carriage.
Thank you.
Re: Dimensions needed
CAD files of the frame parts are officially avaialble on Prusa website
Edit: Ohhh sorry. I think there will be no thickness in files. My mistake.
Re: Dimensions needed
Do you mean this part?
EDIT
Here is the Front plate.
And ...
If you download the printable parts, you will find DXF-files of the Front plate.
I think that thickness of powder coat is abt. 0.15-0.2 mm.

Are they? I thought only the printed parts would be available there. Another reason why I'm asking people is because I'm sure there is a slight build up of powder coat that I want to take into consideration for my modification.

I must've missed that. Thank you.
Re: Dimensions needed
One last question. Does anyone have a rough measurement from the top edge of the front plate to the underside of the y axis carriage? I want to make sure the part I'm designing will have the proper clearance. Thank you.
