RE: PETG Issue
You talking about the upper, lower or both "ridges"? The lower one is where the seem for those layers started and stopped.

@gkmakeit
I understand what caused it, I'm interested in learning how to stop it from happening.

Unless you're printing in case mode, you cannot eliminate the z-seam in current consumer-grade FFF 3d printers. You can hide it in corners, but on cylindrical shapes, it has to go somewhere. You can randomize the location, but that tends to create unsightly zits. Locating it on a hidden side is usually the best option.
You can mitigate the effect with filament extrusion multiplier and linear advance tuning. Your choice of filament affects visibility. Here's an example:

I was just answering the question as I saw it “What is causing this ridge?”, not how do you fix it. 😀

@gkmakeit
Sorry if there was any confusion.

@bobstro
Is there a way to know where it is going to be and therefore be able to rotate the image to have it in a less conspicuous place?

Set it to rear and rotate the part on the bed. At least until PrusaSlicer gives us more control.

"Set it to the rear"
I'm not sure I understand, How can I find out where this seam is going to start printing on the part.
RE: PETG Issue
One of the seam placement options is rear. This puts the seam on the back of the model with respect to the bed. So you can rotate the model so that the seam gets placed in a line and you control where the line is as you control the model placement.

Thanks!!! I see the setting it was on Aligned.
