Can I use any other brand of PEI sheet on prusa such as the ender 3 pro pei sheet or it has to be prusa compatible such as mk3s...any recommendations on a reasonably priced pei sheet

RE: PEI Sheets

I made the mistake of ordering off brand PEI sheet and it only had one side with actual PEI coating, other side was bare metal. I did mess it up and gave it away and ended up ordering the real Prusa sheet which I shoulda done in the first place.

It‘s just a powder coated metal sheet, you can use any metal sheet that fits on the printer’s bed without crashing into anything. If it‘s much thicker than the original you may not be able to run the xyz-calibration without error, but besides that, as long as PINDA registers the sheet before the nozzle crashes into it, you should be good.

I‘d recommend the original satin sheet from Prusa, it‘s worth the money and works great with nearly every filament. Which makes it a reasonable price imho.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
