Lithophane Settings

I was looking for some support on what settings should be used for making Lithophanes utilizing PrusaSlicer. I have had inconsistent performances based on the settings I have altered. I have only been successful printing flat- as every time I try printing vertically, the print falls halfway through- even with  20mm brim width.

any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated!

RE: Lithophane Settings

I use 100% infill and curve the lithophane when I'm printing on edge.  If you want a straight lithophane try slanting it back a few degrees and put a support enforcer under it for a portion of the print.  Even with a brim you can't get enough support on the narrow side to keep the thing attached to the bed.

You could continue to print flat, but as you've no doubt discovered you can't get the same control over the contours.

Not really, you're going for 100% infill.  I take the default parameters and just set 100% infill and get good results.  It's the thickness of the material that creates the shades of grey that make a lithophane work.  Whether that thickness is a function of shells or infill doesn't make much difference as far as I can tell.
