How to print Fiberology FIBERFLEX 40D

Hi!

I am having great difficulty in printing this material Fiberology FIBERFLEX 40D on my MK3s.

It is supposed to be one of the "easiest" semi-flexible filaments to print according to several reviews on youtube:

What I have tried so far: I started by choosing the material profile for the "Semiflex or Flexfill 98A" in Prusa Slicer. Then I modified the settings per the manufacturers recommended settings:

https://fiberlogy.com/en/fiberlogy-filaments/filament-fiberflex-40d/

Max Volumetric Speed was set to 1.35 mm^3/s, which should keep the speed low and smooth?

The currently obtained results are not remotely close to being good. Here is a simple round gasket with 3-vertical shells and something like 7 horizontal shells:

What should I try to improve this?

Best regards, Fredrik

I got good results with the setting on their website.    If I want to improve them, I slwo the print down.

If your willing to post your Zipped up .STL file I'd be willing to give it a go with Ninjaflex it's durometer 85A (even softer then 40D) and I've had great success printing it on my stock i3 MK3.

RE: How to print Fiberology FIBERFLEX 40D

Hope this helps someone else. My first few prints with this were awful, lots of stringing and very poor bed adhesion. I tried a few different settings that folk recommended but the print would not stick to the bed (satin, powder coated). I then tried the regular bed and it stuck like absolute glue and I couldn't get it off. I tried magigoo on the satin sheet but the print still kept coming off. I tried magigoo on the regular bed and that worked quite well in that it appeared to adhere and I could get it off at the end. Finally I tried *raising* the bed temperature of the satin sheet to 70C for the first layer - this worked really well! Adhered well but came off at the end. My final print was night and day with the one I started with. Here were the other main settings I used (I got most of these from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4352738/files) main thing is hotter extruder, especially for first layer:
