Filament Bubbling

Hi. I have a printer Prusa I3 MK3 and i have a bubbling problem with PolyMide COPA filament. At the firsts printings, there was not any problem and the quality was very good. Suddenly and after of 6 perfect printings, the filament starts to bubbling!! I tried to find the problem but, nothing! I cooked the filament in oven under 100C for 4 hours, for humidity retraction, but nothing! After that i change extruder temp sensor, the printing speed, flow speed, etc but the problem remain. After all, i tried to printing by using ABS but the quality was very bad also but with out bubbling. Even if place the z axis to 10cm from the table and preheat to 250c and then extract the filament, it start to bubbling!!

I tested the same filament to another 3d printer (wanhao duplicator i3) at the same settings than the Prusa I3 and the printing quality was perfect!!

Any suggestion??

Check the settings of the cooling fan see if they match the other printer could be a cooling setting issue.

I think 100C for 4 hours is too much heat for to short of a duration. Polymaker recommends 70C for 12 hours when drying CoPA. When the filament isn't being used, store it in the resealable bag it came in along with fresh desiccant, or keep it in an airtight box with desiccant. It's been said CoPA will absorb moisture very rapidly like nylon filament does.

I agree with mgruenloh, you should dry the spool for much longer than 4hours. (100˚C is not a problem for the filament I think but then the spool will suffer lol).
Bubbles definitely mean moisture issue so I think drying your spool, you should be good to go. Polymaker also have a dry box so that you can print while protecting your spool, thats very useful.

After of 12 hours in 80C the problem of bubbling remain. Looks the problem is to Prusa MK3 printer because i used the same filament to Wanhao i3 without any bubbling or quality problem. So i decided to change the temp sensor and extruder heater.

In the picture you can see the quality difference after a month of printing, under exactly the same settings.

Filament PLA

Table 55C

Extruder 210C

Fan speed 170

Finally, the problem was with the temperature sensor. After searching I realized that the problem was in the temperature. The old sensor "read" twenty degrees more than normal temperature.

The real problem was that, I couldn't find support anywhere !! From the beginning of problem, the prusa supplier and the members of the forums talked about a problem with the material and the humidity. Guys, unfortunately the problem is the printer. After one year of operation and with only 36 prints, the printer is no longer accurate.

I have another two WANHAO i3 printers (300€ each) and they have been operating for three years without any problems and with much better print quality than Prusa of 850€!!

Thanks
