Bridging Of Mouth
Hello everyone,
I am trying to print a chameleon with his mouth open. Here in lies the problem. I can print it without supports, which helps keep the bottom of the mouth smooth, however, this renders the roof of the mouth bridging a little saggy and loose. If I print it with supports, it leaves the bottom of the mouth rough and the roof still is not as clean as I want. I’d much rather print it without supports and just have the bridging somewhat decent. Even when it’s sliced, improves the slicer, the bridging does look a little loose and spread out, even when I tried re-slicing with the other features. I’ll provide pictures. I’ve even tried to speeding up the bridge speed, and making all the adjustments there. I just think if it was to slice a little better it would be able to print better? Any help would be great. Thanks
RE: Bridging Of Mouth
We need your project file. A saved project from Prusa Slicer (File>Save Project As) contains the model and every setting you are using. With it anyone can slice and see the preview as if you were doing it. It also allows the rapid checking of the hundreds of settings without playing 20 questions.
Do be aware though that the forum wont accept a 3mf project file (like many other file types) so you will need to zip it up before attaching it to a post here.
If I had to make a wild ass guess I would say first thing to check is that you have thick bridges=off. That might help a bit but I dont think it will cure anything majorly as you just cant print curves in midair with current technology. There are ways of tweaking supports so they dont leave as much surface scarring. Again we would need your project to see what you have configured.
