ABS Warping

I am pretty new to 3D printing. I have been trying to print this piece using ABS without any good really today. Sides of this piece are pretty thin 0.5mm.
I have been reading a lot on different forums about ABS but it seems there is not one big secret. I do now have an enclosure to keep print temp stable. Concerning setting...it's pretty blurry to me what should I do.
Anyone knows?

Re: ABS Warping

that doesn't look like warping (z direction) to me, it looks like the walls are melting. I've never touched abs, but a wall that thin might be tough without a little fan speed.

Re: ABS problem - thin wall

You are right, I think it isn't a warping problem, it's because all the sides are thin.

I did print it easily with PLA without problem.
I will try adding fan with ABS and see.

Re: ABS Warping

The part is too small and doesn't have time to cool down properly. You can turn on the fan (against the usual recommendations when printing ABS), but that can cause other problems (like delamination). My advice: reduce the print speed drastically (15-25 mm/s total) and/or print two parts at once, to further allow the ABS to cool down on each part while the other is printed.

Re: ABS thin wall

Here is the result with the option "detect thin walls" check in the "Layer&perimeters". I am not sure what it does though. There is still small imperfections on the curved side but it works for my needs. I printed 2 parts, it seems to be a good option to help cooling.

I tried before the options of slowing down the speed and printing multiple parts (without detect thin walls check). I had problems twice, parts were not sticking on the bed.

Note : the wall are 0.5mm.
