80% of My Prints Fail

I have had this printer for years and could never get my printer to work constantly. The big issue seems to be when there is a flat solid layer like the top layer or a flat surface in the middle.  I keep doing first-layer calibration hoping changing my z-axis will fix everything but it does not.

It fails by getting knocked off, I believe it's because there is a height difference at this layer, but I have no clue how to fix it.

Left one  -1.070mm
Right one -1mm

Please help!

That sounds like a combination of poor adhesion and warping.

Make certain the print-sheet is scrupulously clean.  Protect the printer from drafts and cold air.  Try enabling a brim to help stick dowm the corners.  Perhaps try raising the bed temperature by 5° - 10°C.

Cheerio,

I believe this is not the problem but I will try it anyway.
I flipped the metal over not long ago so it is clean. (I also recalibrated it)
I also clean it extremely well before every print (alcohol with a new paper towel every time)
There are no drafts where I print.
I am not using brim but since it is big I assumed it was not necessary. (will try the next print)
I will also Increase the bed temp by 10, but not sure if this could be an issue I am using polymaker polylite PLA

Polylite PLA
Printing Temperature: 190˚C - 230˚C
Bed Temperature: 25˚C - 60˚C
Printing Speed: 40mm/s - 60mm/s
Fan: ON
Direct Drive:
Retraction Distance: 1mm
Retraction Speed: 20mm/s
Indirect Drive:
Retraction Distance: 3mm
Retraction Speed: 40mm/s
Drying Settings: 55˚C for 6h(Only if the material has absorbed moisture)

I am using Generic PLA Setting and draft .30mm

All this being said I will add brim and increase the temperature by 10 degrees for the next print and get back to you if it works or not.

Well, I am happily surprised.
I printed two things so far with no failure!
That worked, Diem you have my gratitude!

If you keep having troubles with adhesion, even though you have a pristinely clean build plate and 1st layer calibration is spot on and bed temp is high enough, I would suggest giving adhesives a try. Yes they should not be necessary in most situations but something like Magigoo or Dimafix make the whole adhesion issue go almost entirely. There is barely a print where I would need to add a brim, even many challenging ones with minimal contact surface, without having adhesion issues with adhesive. That is especially helpful on old build plates where adhesion starts to deteriorate no matter what you do. Instead of throwing those away, just use them with adhesive.

Just make sure to use the right adhesive. I would not recommend Kores or other PVA based adhesives in most situation, as they are more of release agent than an adhesive and also they are quite messy to remove.
