Z movement on Unload Filament?

Hi!

I've been noticing this weird behavior through several firmware updates, and it's still happening in 3.12.2.

Basically, when I do certain things from the front panel menus "Unload Filament" being a good example, for some reason the Z-axis moves upward, maybe as much as 10-20mm. before unloading.

Is this intended behavior or is my (completely stock MK3) just weird this way?

I usually don't unload (or load) filament unless the Z is at least half-way up, so that didn't occur to me. Seems like a sane precaution though.

Yeah me too but they’re some people that dumb af like look at some reviews on Prusa products like the powder coat pei people rate a 1 because they used pla and it didn’t stick and they probably didn’t use a new live adjust z or the amount of people that go to the forums with my print is not sticking and having they’re z offset at -0.040 so Prusa uses safety precautions in the most ways possible
